Hannah Shuman, Lead Paralegal
Hannah Shuman is the Lead Paralegal at Henshaw Law and has a passion for assisting our clients through the difficulties of the legal process. She is detail oriented and takes great pride in having the ability think outside the box when tackling complicated issues. Prior to joining Henshaw Law, Hannah worked as a legal assistant focusing primarily on Family Law. She attended Arizona State University where she studied biochemistry.
Hannah attributes her work ethic to her formative years in Bristol Bay assisting her family with their air charter business. Prior to working in the legal field, Hannah worked seasonally for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, where she studied the sockeye salmon species on the Naknek River. In her free time, Hannah enjoys back country skiing, snow machining, fishing, painting, and flying with her family.
Kaitlyn Krohn, Paralegal
Kaitlyn Krohn serves as Business Development Manager at Henshaw Law, where she also continues to contribute as a litigation paralegal. With a strong interest in business strategy and an exceptional aptitude for research, Kaitlyn brings a unique blend of analytical thinking and operational insight to both roles. She excels at evaluating complex evidence, identifying growth opportunities, and driving initiatives that support the firm's long-term vision.
Kaitlyn graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management. She followed a lifelong dream of moving to Alaska. Prior to working in the legal field, Kaitlyn spent time in a manufacturing environment, where she gained hands-on experience in business operations and leadership. She also held a summer job educating tourists about sled dogs. Outside of work, Kaitlyn enjoys outdoor activities, reading, writing, photography, watercolor painting, and has a keen passion for dog mushing.
ShaeLisa Metoyer-Anderson, Paralegal
ShaeLisa Anderson joined Henshaw Law with years of experience in the criminal justice system, having worked at the Anchorage District Attorney’s Office on the prosecution side before transitioning into family law. Her background in criminal prosecution taught her the importance of thorough case preparation, clear communication, and attention to detail — skills she now applies to guiding clients through some of the most difficult chapters of their lives.

Sarah Anderson, Paralegal
Sarah Anderson is a Paralegal with Henshaw Law, where she provides support across a range of practice areas. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Paralegal Studies from the University of Alaska Anchorage and brings a broad background to her role, including three years as a Deputy Clerk with the State of Alaska Appellate Courts and two years as a City Administrator serving her rural community. Sarah has also volunteered in rural Alaska, engaging with high school students to connect them with legal resources and support. With a background as a first responder and a strong commitment to justice, she brings compassion, diligence, and dedication to every case. Each summer, Sarah enjoys commercial fishing as a way to stay connected to her home and heritage in Bristol Bay.
Almarina Sosa, Legal Assistant
Almarina Sosa joined Henshaw Law as a Legal Assistant with a focus in general civil litigation. She brings strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach to her work, with experience managing discovery, preparing disclosures, and supporting attorneys through trial preparation. Alma has a particular interest in legal research and case development, and she values building supportive relationships with clients as they navigate complex legal matters.
Alma is a graduate of the University of New Mexico with degrees in Political Science and Spanish. She also plans to further her legal education by attending law school, with the goal of becoming an attorney.
Outside of the office, Alma enjoys traveling, reading, and fitness, and has a passion for literature and community engagement.
Daphne Arriaga, Legal Secretary
As a dedicated legal secretary, Daphne Arriaga plays a vital role in supporting attorneys and staff by keeping operations organized and running smoothly behind the scenes. With a strong focus on client and team coordination, Daphne ensures that day-to-day tasks are handled and client matters are coordinated, contributing to the overall success of the firm.
Since recently relocating to Alaska to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law, Daphne has embraced the natural beauty and tranquility of the state. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs, who bring joy and adventure to her everyday life.
